MSA Nour is raising money in partnership with other MSA’s in the Netherlands and IHH Nederland to provide financial aid and raise awareness for the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan.

The barakah projects are a beneficial cause initiated in partnership with the IHH Nederland (International Humanitarian Aid Organisation Netherlands). 

The IHH Nederland is a charitable institution founded in 1993 that has since funded countless causes including educational projects, medical and health care projects, emergency relief projects, agriculture projects, and many more great objectives all over the world. 

Therefore, the barakah projects decided that the collected funds should go directly to the experienced and well-organized IHH Nederlands. The goal is to accumulate resources while also raising awareness to the humanitarian crisis in Afghanistan where more than half of the population is suffering food shortages. This is carried out by different Muslim Student Associations all around the Netherlands, showing the importance of unity and collaboration among young Muslims. 

The barakah projects centralize the substance and urgency of charity and selflessness to the needy for the sake of Allah (swt) and not expecting anything in return.  “and they give food, out of their love for Him (Allah), to the needy, and the orphan, and the captive.” (Quran 76:7) This is why it is crucial to mention that MSA Nour will forward 100% of the donations collected to the barakah projects meaning: that every fundraising activity is strictly voluntary and we as an organization do not gain any profits.  

Every donation is creating change no matter the amount, the Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) said that “the most beloved deeds to God are those that are consistent, even if they are small.” 

Especially during this holy month of Ramadan, we have to increase our practice of good deeds, and helping another human being in need is one of the most beloved acts. So, multiply your rewards and invest in your hereafter.
